@Wendy_Tokunaga thanks for the FF!
@wahlandcase how are you defining diversity in the Japanese context?
@yokichi: problem that startups in Japan have is that it's hard to get good talent, because it's all tied up in big companies
Interesting inside story on Zipcar from @yokichi. Good proof that starting a company can be messy.
@yokochi feels it's a matter of taste whether one prefers Boston or Silicon VAlley. Former better for taking time to create something.
80% of venture exits are M&A (I hadn't heard that statistic) - per @yokichi #siliconvalley
Speed, support network for entrepreneurs, cosmopolitan atmosphere with many people from around world, networking opps, etc. #siliconvalley
Ok now @yokichi is singing praises of Silicon Valley. That's more like it! :)
I do agree with some of his points, esp about the effect of all the academic institutions there, also that many ventures start there
@yokichi recently returned to Silicon Valley from Boston. He's now trying to convince us that Boston is more of an innovation capital. Hmm..
@yokichi is the speaker, MBA from Harvard, entrepreneur, VC, helping Zipcar with international strategy, active blogger, etc.
At Silicon Valley Innovation Forum, speaker is Y. Koga speaking about venture capital. Will live tweet. 90 Japanese + me in attendance
@taro_f congrats, you are really rocking the press coverage lately!
@BakaKarasu yes indeed that would be a better way to put it!
